One of the finest 9 hole golf courses in the state can be found right in the heart of Sweet Grass county in the town of Big Timber. Designed by Max Mueller, the course has beautifully irrigated grass fairways and greens and a challenging lakes and bunkers. The Overland Golf Course attracts golfers from the entire southern region of Montana, as well as visitors from all over the country.  Located just east of town, Overland Golf Course offers a spectacular backdrop view of the Crazy mountains.

     Ken Nelson is the club golf pro draws from his forty years of golfing. Nelson is experienced and is full of  enthusiasm when working with golfers of all ages and abilities. He is available for lessons and has special tournaments scheduled throughout the 1999 summer season. Tournaments begin with the 9th annual Crusher Classic in mid June. Other tournaments include: The Men's Open near the first of July; a Woman's Open 9-hole tournament in mid July; a two-person, best-ball tournament in late July ; and in early August  a five-person, three-best-ball tournament.
