Many recreational opportunities in Sweet Grass County include hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, boat floating, golf, horseback riding, mountain climbing, swimming, sightseeing, touring, painting, reading, sports, and more. 
     Two Blue Ribbon Trout rivers, the Yellowstone and Boulder rivers,  flow through our area for floating and fishing opportunities.

     We are surrounded by the Gallatin National Forests (Crazy Mountains & Absoraka/Beartooths) for hiking, hunting, camping and sightseeing.  We are located just north of Yellowstone Park, so stay a night on your way to the park.

     There are many camping opportunities to take advantage of our natural outdoors with 14 public sites available.  You might also just want to take in the sights!

Our town park is a great place to stop on your travels to stretch,  picnic, swim, play basketball, tennis, or on the playground. 
We also have a very nice downtown with many shops for walking the historic downtown. See buildings built in the 1800's by settlers of Sweet Grass county and find goods created by our many artists, craftsmen, and writers.

We have many attractions for you to see, including the Natural Bridge State Park, a great museum, The Grand hotel, Prairie Dog Town, State Fish Hatchery, and more!  
      Take a relaxing Yellowstone River Float and see just how the River Runs Through Sweet Grass County.
