As you look at the functions on the menu, you might notice that some of the menu items function the same as the Standard Toolbar Buttons. There are some redundancies -you choose which you want to use. Also note that although they seem the same, the Favorites on the Menu Bar functions differently than the Favorites on the Standard Toolbar (see menu favorites below).
FileEdit
- New- Window- Opens another Window
- Open- open a web page or a photo from your hard drive
- Save- Saves web page
- Save As- Saves web page, you specify the name
- Send- Sends a page by e-mail
- Work Off-line- Use your browser to view saved web pages without being connected to the internet.
- Cut- Cuts selected text, photo, or graphic into your clipboard
- Copy- Copies selection to the clipboard.
- Paste- Pastes the content of your clipboard into an editing type program.
- Select All- Selects everything in a web page.
- Find- Looks for a word within the current web page.
- Toolbars- by hiding toolbars
- Status Bar-Customize the look of Internet Explorer by Hiding or Showing Status Bar
- Explorer Bar
- Go To
- Refresh- Same as Refresh Button on the Standard Toolbar
- Text Size- Changes the Viewing Area's Text Size for easier reading
- Encoding
- Source- View HTML Programming
- Full screen- Hides all toolbars and maximizes the size of the viewing area.
- Stop- Same as Stop on the Standard Toolbar, stops a page from loading and saves time

Help is a place on your menu you can find online support, help for users of the different browser Netscape Navigator, take a tour online of Interned Explorer, and use a index and contents to answer a question you might want to look up.
