Sweet Grass County Rural Schools Hold Track Meet

The Rural Schools annual track meet was held at the SGHS track on Thursday, May 18th. Three rural schools, McLeod, Melville, and Greycliff participated along with help from parents, teachers, and friends. It was a perfect day for a field day, as the sun was shining and it was warm with a mild wind, a truely nice spring day. The kids were excited to participate in events which were well coordinated in stations all over the field. Those events were: Baseball Throw, Obstacle Race, Sack Race, 3-Legged Race, 50 yard dash, Standing Long Jump, Hoop Shot, Relays, and runs of varying distances. All participants were given praise for each being winners, and the kids got the recognition and praise all day from the coaches, family, and friends. So excited for the events were the kids that they could hardly pay attention to directions at times and would jump the gun with enthusiasm! Here are some highlight photos for the event! Enjoy.
